Travelin' Man

...it seems this year I am traveling around this little country of ours quite a bit. Now now, I know you folks who fly for business will crush my number of trips, but that doesn't count. All these little trips were for family or pleasure.

In February of this year, we flew to Hawaii for a weeks' vacation. I flew to Philadelphia at the beginning of June for 4 days for a wedding. We are driving to Milwaukee this weekend for a weekend getaway (I love Chicago but we thought we'd try somethin' different). In July we are driving to Michigan for a few days' vacation. On Labor Day weekend I'm flying out to Pittsburgh with some friends from work to catch 3 Cubs games. At the end of September I'm flying to Vegas for a bachelor party. And finally (at least so far), I'm flying out to Baltimore for another wedding. (I have another wedding to go to in November, but thankfully that's in Chicago).

Nothing too spectacular, but I believe this is the most I've travelled in a long time. I used to travel for work and fly about 15 times a year, but those days have past (plus the locations sucked!).

Next year my goal is to actually go somewhere outside of this country (gasp!). (I've been to St. Lucia, but that doesn't really count). My family hosted 2 foreign exchange students during our high school years, and one is from Holland and the other in Australia. So I'm thinking we may try one of those 2 places. We shall see!
